We provide two managed firewall solutions. One where we own the device, and one for where you own the device.
When we own the device: Our Service offer
- We implement a managed solution across all sites.
- Configure all firewalls through the WatchGuard Cloud Management system allowing for management, monitoring and configuration from one location.
- Proactive monitoring for up time and any unusual activity.
- Provide support and handle all service & security renewals.
- Provide quarterly reviews of policies, automated trend reporting and assistance.
- Ensure all devices have latest firmware and security patches.
- Change Management policy created.
- Reactive support
If you own the device the only difference is that you pay for the device and the security renewals. We would need admin rights to deliver the managed service.
WatchGuard Cloud Migration
Cyber & Data Protection Limited’s WatchGuard expertise extends to WatchGuard Cloud. There are hundreds of thousands of WatchGuard’s that are still being managed at device level. A real pain if your organisation has multiple sites across the country.
We can take this pain away by moving your policy management to the Cloud. Once completed all management changes can be done from your office chair.
You will also have a single pain of glass for monitoring all that’s going on within your network – health, uptime, any issues.
We also provide a 3 part WatchGuard Cloud Basics training videos to help you get to speed on using the Cloud interface.

WatchGuard Cloud does not support policy management of legacy features Data Loss Protection and Mobile Security of older cryptography and VPN standards IKEv1 (IPSec) VPNs or L2TP VPNs WatchGuard Cloud will also not support SIP and H.323 Application Layer Gateways (ALG) for added security checks for these VoIP and communication protocols.
WatchGuard Cloud does not support Gateway Wireless Controller for management of wireless access points or configuration of multicast routing settings for networks or BOVPN tunnels.

WatchGuard Training
In our experience of delivering Cloud Migration projects there are some definite resource gaps and to fill that we have developed three WatchGuard Cloud Basics videos providing an overview of how to use the Cloud interface.
We are also developing Cyber & Data Protection Limited ‘How to’ guides for this and the wider WatchGuard offer. Future plans involve us becoming an accredited WatchGuard Trainer.
We have also set up WatchGuard user group to discuss any WatchGuard issues, challenges and ‘how to achieve’ questions. Once a year we host a round table lunch.
